Since the humble beginings as Thames Ironworks FC in 1895 (renamed West Ham United in 1900) West Ham have always played football the "right way", with both style and attacking flair, whilst producing numerous international players through their Youth Academy. West ham is not like any other team, the fans are what set it apart. There is nothing quite like a game under the lights at the Boleyn with I'm forever blowing bubbles ringing out into the night to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. We may not have as much silverware as some but, if the claret and blue is in your heart you know you are a cut above the rest and being West Ham is all that matters.
