Are you looking for a nice HT country to start with a new project? Then you should immediately found a new team in Ghana!

Fascinated by current and former football players from Ghana and African football all in all, I started in 2016 with my 2nd team "FC Charles Amoah SG" (1832822). As a small HT country with only about 140 active clubs, Ghana has a nice community of Ghanaian and also foreign managers with a second or third team in Ghana.

The U21/NT of Ghana are my passion. In my campaigns as NT Coach (World Cup 26 & 30) and as well as U21 Coach (World Cup 33) I remarked, that Ghana has only a little number of managers who are interested in the results and work of the national teams. Therefore it is a lot of work to organise a scouting system and to ensure good training for the Ghana talents. It's not comparable with bigger HT countries like for example Switzerland, where a lot of managers train Swiss talents and the scouting system is organised very professional.

How can U21/NT of Ghana be more successful and relevant for the managers? Some ideas how to have fun and help the NT/U21 of Ghana:

1. Found a new team in Ghana and become a member of the Ghanaian HT community

To all managers from Ghana: Recommend Hattrick to your friends and recruit some new managers! Every new manager means more fun and animates the others with new ideas and initiatives, for example with new federations or tournaments. And every new team in Ghana means also new youth teams and youth players!

To all managers from other countries: If you're looking for a new HT adventure you should found a new team in Ghana! There is a nice community of Ghanaian and foreign managers (English speaking and also a lot of German speaking managers).

2. Start a project with homegrown players from your youth academy
In 2021 I was looking for a new challenge with FC Charles Amoah SG. Having 4-5 nice youth academy players with spec I decided to start a project with owngrown players and to form some strong Ghanaian midfielders. The project makes a lot of fun and my players are currently about age 24. It's my aim to move up to the Premier League pretty soon and to play for a national championship or cup title. At the same time I hope that some of my midfielders will once help to have a strong NT Ghana and to win a Africa Cup title and play a successful World Cup.

No matter if you already have a team in Ghana or not. Why not start a project with homegrown players from your youth academy in Ghana? Ghana has only 3 league levels, therefore it's realistic to build a strong team with youth academy players and get promoted to League II or the Premier League.

3. Train (a) Ghana talent(s) and make them ready for U21 and/or NT
Do you have free training slots and a long term training strategy for a specific type of player? For U21 and NT Ghana it's important that every talent is trained as well as possible. Train a talent from Ghana and bring them to the U21 and/or NT! The chance to form a future U21 or NT player is very big due to the limited number of clubs and youth academies.

Let's hope that there are soon more than 140 active clubs and lot of interesting and funny new managers from Ghana and other countries!
