Interview with our coach

Misr was waiting to reach a World Cup medal from his birth.
Today we'll have a talk with the hero that made our dreams come true.

Hi people,
this morning I reached U21 Misr sport center to meet coach who takes first world cup's medal for our country.
He received me in his "small" office (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8f/GD-EG-Caire-Abedin003.JPG/1280px-GD-EG-Caire-Abedin003.JPG).
So, after some minutes, we start our talk in his room (https://ibb.co/Bccg3pN).

Hi ulyca, let's start with some news about you.
How did you know hattrick? You are a member from about 20 years, what keeps you here?

Hello, my name is Adrian, I'm 34 yo and I've been playing this amazing green game since 2004.
I have always been a fan of football managers games and when a friend told me about Hattrick, I've been instantly hooked.
Since then, I had periods that were more active, but also some moments when I needed a break.
But everytime the community kept me motivated to continue to play and pulled me back in.
In the last 4 years, the National Teams were my main attraction :)

You are U21 Misr and NT Bahrain's coach. Work around national team is hard. How do you manage 2 teams, 2 groups of users for scouting, lineups, etc?

Firstly, I am a bit lucky due to my work place. I can work a lot from home, so that gives me time to organize myself between real life, my club teams and the 2 National Teams.
I have 2 secrets that help me work on 2 national teams in the same time:
- I am organised and I always prepare every detail as early as I can, leaving only the final details on the match day.
- I have some great friends around me that help a lot. Users like stantzy, dragosachim, alx or tormund are helping me a lot on both national teams.

You haven't many trophies with your teams, but you use to make great jobs with national teams. Why? Do you prefer these ones? Don't you like financial side of the game..something else?

The club teams needs a lot of planning. Planning that sometimes last for years (when the players are 17 y.o. to 30 y.o., when they are mature), so I didn't had a lot of patience in the past.
But even so, with my Syrian team I have played in the first division and I won 2 secondary cups; with my Egyptian team I have reached the second division and won a secondary cup and with my Romanian team, I have reached the third division, which is a good result taking into consideration the high number of users in the country.
Regarding National Teams, I'm very passionate in talking to users, establishing training plans, seeing players getting real strong from my advices and these things keep me hyped up.

Now about Misr.
What brought you here?

I joined the community after a talk with Chrissmat, and here I found some amazing users that believed in me and are trying to help this community to grow. Users like steve, tellisto, beebo, you and soltan have made this community an amazing place for new comers. Due to this, their dream to see Misr grow became my dream too.
They created the discord channel HETC and more and more amazing trainers joined and due to that, our results improved.

Talk about what did you found when you start your job here.
What did you thought was needed to improve and what else is still necessary to do

Well, we really needed some organisation. A lot of youth academy work to increase our number of prospects, some clear training plans, a lot of communication with owners in order for them to trust us and to see that we want the same things: their players'evolution and the good of the Misr National Teams.
We need to continue this work and to increase our community. This is why most of us opened secondary teams (even HTAL) in Misr. With more teams/users, our number of players will increase and we will have a bigger pool of talent.
I'm happy to see that now the senior NT have players in its squad that were scouted by me when they were 18-19 y.o..
This shows that all our hard work paid off and we are on a good path. But we mustn't stop!

What was your goal in the last World Cup?
When did you start to think a medal,as a real possibility?

We had 2 goals:
First goal was to write history and to qualify U21 Misr for the first time since the beginning of Hattrick in the second round of the World Cup.
Second one was to provide match experience to the next generation of players that is a very special generation for me, followed very closely since the academies.
The fact that we got a Bronze Medal and played most of the matches with the next generation is really amazing.
Personally I began to think at a medal in round 4 when we eliminated the former World Cup champion, Holland.
I think that the underdog status helped us a lot. We were underestimated in many matches and also being the small country allowed us to risk it all in many ocasions.

Do you want to tell something about your staff?
It's composed by foreign users.Do you think is it possible to take some egyptians users in?

My staff is the best :)
On match preparation I count a lot on stantzy, dragosachim, tormund and alx. They are very nice persons, tactically skilled and also very involved in the Misr community. All of them train/trained Misr talents and 3 of them (stantzy, alx and tormund) have opened secondary teams in Misr.
Without their advices, involvement and help, we would have never reached the World Cup semifinals.
In terms of scouting, I would also want to mention steve and tellisto, who are helping me to find the best Misr talents.
Regarding adding new members, we are more than open to have with us users that want to see this community grow and they're ready to help.

And now...the future.
What's your goal with:
- your egyptian team
- u21 Misr (will you continue, as coach or as member of staff?) (Meanwhile Ulyca was elected again ;) )

My goal with all my teams is to train as much Misr talents as I can.
With my Misr team I started a project with 8 Misr defenders. 3 of them are former U21 players, while the 4th will be the next campaign's Set Piecer. My plan is to take the first 3 to the National Team. If I manage to promote in the first division on the way, it's even better.
With my Syrian team I train 2 former U21 wingers and the main goal is to take them to the NT.
My target here is fighting again for the First division in 2 seasons.
With my Romanian team I bought recently a 19 y.o. Misr playmaker and my training plan is focused on him, while my HTAL team is only focusing on training our next campaign's talents. The future U21 wingers and 1 forward are here :).

Regarding U21 Misr, my plan is to be close to the team as much as I can. Next campaign I hope to be the coach again (if elected) and to lead our team on another great campaign.
But even so, my role here is to help this community grow and to make all the efforts to increase our pool of talents.
But we can't do this alone. We need every member of this community to help us by taking care of their youth academy, by training as much Misr youth as they can and to be open to our advices.
Together we can continue to make Misr more known in Hattrick!
GOO MISR!

Now it's time to leave Ulyca with his work.
But we promise we'll see again at the next cup for our team :D
