Stories behind Players of the Irish Nationalteam

Recently I published an interview with the current NT Gave_ (22876). But he can do nothing without the support of the managers, who train the Players of the irish Nationalteam in their Teams. These managers play Hattrick around the world and behind each player there is a individual story to tell. In this article I would like to share some of these stories with you. Maybe it inspires you to support the Irish Nationalteam in future too.

During the 35th Edition of the Europe Cup as Racing Reporter I introduced a Player of the Week in the Irish Forum. There was no fix criteria to become awarded, this just highlighted an achievement of this player e.g. very first time beeing transferred, score important goals, a dramatic form down, being the most experienced player or score the first Irish hattrick in the tournament!

Behind all of these Players of the Week there are managers from different countries: Netherlands, Sweden, Germany and Italy. Their stories what is their connection with Ireland, how they felt supported by the Irish Scouting Team and if they think if it is possible to play Hattrick competitive and support the National Team at the same time can be red here and in previous posts to "Player of the Weeks" (see links in bottom of post): (17499685.257).

Here I want to share with you 4 more stories behind national players. I spoke with Andreav-Fights (8943792), Gave_ (9718120), Hardy_HH (5482723) and acefirefist86 (12708138).

Racing Reporter: Thank you for joining this interview! Just to get an overview: who is your player and when did you get him?

Andreav-Fights: My both national players Harry Flood (435718966) and Robert Murphy (436868257) were bought to help Gave and Emilio in their scouting work, I have no particular goals in the team and I made myself available, the training is focused on them. In the past I have already had NT and U21 players, I'm used to it by now. :)

Hardy_HH: Andrew 'Ant-Man' Twomey (436873701) came at the young of 17 to my team. After training Deffors for some national teams I wanted to make a project to qualify players for the u20 team while they were very cheap. He is one of that guys from the very beginning.

Gave_: It was March 2018 as he had just turned 17 as I bought Gearóid Osman (434976120) ages ago. He was a fantastic U20 prospect and I wanted to train the SP-WB of this generation so he was just perfect for this position seeing his spec and his excellent DEF back then.

I bought Mark Lane (437573386) about 1 season ago, in May. He has always been a super talented winger and has always been trained by very good managers: Leif, Rado (both part of the Irish community) and then Ronaluca, and Italian manager who helped us. As I had enough money in my HTI team finances, I decided to pick him up and train him at best.

About 1 RL year ago I bought Jonathan Moran (435620164). He had been transferlisted many times before and he was placed to a DEF trainer at that moment but he needed some more PAS and WG so I sold some players with my HTI team (which I had just restarted as I didn't like the competition anymore and I also needed to save Lyle Twamley, another Irish prospect) and I picked him. Moran has never been a top prospect and also has a bad spec, but he have always been trained well and he was the only CA-defender who wasn't lost for bad training, so he managed to reach the NT despite zero U20 caps.

John-Joe Cousins (435347879) is probably my favourite player at all.
He's a terrific OCD, he's much stronger than all our other options and I love his story too.
He was pulled by a very famous Irish user such as Thelanger, then I was supposed to pick him up as he was the most talented OCD. I still remember the bidwar on that Friday evening, it was the 6th of April 2018 and I was attending a meeting for a football tournament so I was bidding sneaking and I kept doing so till almost 4 millions. I finally managed to buy him and then I checked my finances: I had a negative balance after that so I couldn't have bidded further... he was meant to be mine :) I trained him in DEF together with Osman for almost two seasons then I sold him to another famous user of this community: Aged Talent, who gave him PM training while I was training Osman as SP taker. He took part of the U20 WC and AT kept him till 23yo, then he sold him to our former NT coach Emilioveronica who trained him one seasons before selling him back to me again for 13 millions... he wasn't cheap, but he is worth every single euro :)

acefirefist86: I bought Jason Deacy (437741066) in November 2018: I had recently sold all my previous trained scorers and I had a real bunch of money in my hands. I came up with the idea to create a team with mainly Irish players to try to climb the various leagues and get to at least II (or in I.). I had searched the market for the best under18 Irish strikers and acquired two of them, including Jason. The other player was (437489311), whom I had then sold just before the U21 call-up: it was one of my biggest mistakes! Anyway, if all goes well, I can get direct promotion to II. league this year! Everything according to plan 😊

Racing Reporter: This leads me to the next question: Is it in your opinion possible to have a National Player in your team and still play competitive?

Hardy_HH: Yes, a bit. I always try to play competitve, while my IM-monster eat huge money weekly and my club was more as one time one step away from bankruptcy.
Next time no IM anymore :D

acefirefist86: It is very difficult because you have to prioritize training for National players but with good training scheduling it is feasible!

Gave_: Well it absolutely is. My Irish team is fighting to get a promotion to the Premier and gets terrific ratings even if I never invest time on the market... most of my strenght is due to the NT prospects themselves.

Andreav-Fights: Absolutely yes, but not with this team, however, I have not planned it over time. With another team that I have in Kuwait I have achieved better results thanks to the planning of the training of the national teams. I also hope to repeat them soon ..

Racing Reporter: Okay, so if it is no problem to play competitive and train for the Nationalteam, why Ireland? What is your connection with this country?

acefirefist86: I am Italian but I lived in Dublin for two years when I was 18 y.o. and I have never forgot about that experience and period. I'm still in love with Ireland and I usually spend my summer vacation right there: actually, I'm thinking of buying a little house in County Mayo as well :) If anyone has any proposal, you know how to contact me :D

Hardy_HH_: My connection to Ireland is, that I have a very strong connection, while I haven´t been there ever, sadly. I follow the nationalteams of Ireland for a long time. I joined the fed IMF in 2013. I was nt trainer of Ireland once. I played in the Premier League with my Irish team. More? :)

Gave_: I visited Ireland back in 2010 and I loved it both for the places and for the people I met there. In the HT-World I'm part of the Irish Community since 2017 or so when I offered to become a scout and I never left ever since :)

Racing Reporter: How was the support of the Scouting team and would you train for the Irish Nationalteam in future again?

acefirefist86: Yeah of course! In my opinion, it is a great satisfaction to be able to find a country's best talents on the market, not pay them an abnormal amount of money and bring them up to the National Team. The support of the Scouts was quite good, in particular during the U21 experience when I was still new to national players 😊

Gave_: Well I haven't had contact with any scout of course as I was doing this part too :) Everything in my team was planned in order to maximise his U20/NT chances (together with the other prospects I've been training/I've trained). Having a NT star in my team is just great both for pratical things such as extra exp and wage discounts and mainly because I'm proud to see my players wearing the Irish shirt and playing the highest possible level of HT. After the current lads will be too old I'll start over with some 17yos, even if I still haven't decided which position I'll go for.

Hardy_HH: I didn´t need to much support while it was always easy, as Ireland worked with generation scouts and Gave was scout of this player since he was 17. For me training players for the nt is always way of the cyclus and I would be offended if not.

Andreav-Fights: Always fantastic, both in the support and in the results that the national team is getting thanks to their great work, I will certainly be happy to be of help again. :)

Racing Reporter: Thank you for this wonderful stories and your support for the Nationalteam of Ireland. Last but not least: anything to share with the Irish Community?

Andreav-Fights: Nothing in particular, but even if it is only a virtual game Hattrick can give these small satisfactions. Random or not the important thing is to have fun anyway.

Hardy_HH: I feel really dedicated to Ireland. I can´t describe it, but its something like home. And I met many, many friends here. I hope to keep this relationship alive!

Gave_: Having a NT player is great, you should definitely try! Contact the NT staff if you're interested :)

acefirefist86: Maireann croí éadrom i bhfad
