Talk with U21 Coach fan_spanos

For U21 Greece the World Cup endet in round 3. As Germany's Racing Reporter I had the privilege to have an interview talk with the current U21 coach fan_spanos. I talked with him about his experience as U21 coach, a little private and what he thinks about the new U21 mode.

Racing Reporter: Welcome Greece' U21 Coach! Please tell us: who is fan_spanos?

fan_spanos: Hello and first of all thanks for your invitation. My nickname is my actual name, I'm 40yo and a proud father of Giannis (452935561).
I started playing around 2012, when my very close friend for over 20 years giomar(4867714)urged me to try this game, saying I'm going to love it and he nailed it 😉
For the last 4-5 years my main focus is in the U21 national team. I haven't won that much with my team and I don't see it coming too soon 🙄

Racing Reporter: How was your campain so far?

fan_spanos: Before this tournament we decided to use younger players with the right age to reach at least the 4th round, unlike the last one where we used the best ones available at the moment. So, the first 2 rounds have been a little challenging but in the end we did manage to squeeze ourselves in the 3d round and achieve the minimum goal I've set for this WC.
Lastly about our community, it may be a little small and quiet but we have a lot of heart and I want to thank them for all the support👌

Racing Reporter: Is this your first turn as U21 coach?

fan_spanos: This is my 3rd turn, the first one was a couple of years ago but ended with a ban. The new mode is pretty difficult (euro cup is really hard😒) but also clearly a lot more interesting than the previous one.

Racing Reporter: Sas efcharistó Spanos! Anything to say to the HT community?

fan_spanos: In conclusion, I have to quote papa-mish (11419808) "hattrick is more than a game, its a community". The past 2 years have been difficult for most of us but I think hattrick and the people in it has helped to clear our minds a little.
