Fame, flags and U-21

Is it possible to achive everything playing in a small HT-country like Curacao? I tried now for 9 seasons with my Arawak Warriors (2062683), lets see how it goes..

The story so far

In 2006, some 51 seasons ago, I logged in to Hattrick for the first time, and was given a team that just had been promoted to div. VIII. Of course that was the only team allowed back then, and quickly I was addicted, allthough I have never won anything significant with my Danish team.

Struggling with achieving good results, I started collecting flags, which was a lot more difficult back then, because you were only allowed to have one team. The satisfaction collecting them all was big, it took a lot of deals with a lot of users, and an insane amount of time was behind it.

Uganda was next

In 2013 Hattrick opened up for having two teams. It didnt take me long to sign up for one of the new countries, hoping that flags would be a lot easier to get, and knowing that if I pulled and trained my academy boys well, the money would be rolling in quickly.

It was a flying start, I was lucky with the academy, kept some of the players on my senior team, and before I knew it, I reached the Ugandan Super League (245936).

Most of season 33 I managed to stay at the top, but in the end I had to settle with a second place, which was a big disappointment for me. Now my team is training Danish talents for U-21, but just as the players (all from Uganda) peaked, they won 4 cup titles.

Another flag collection was done...the team was sold...what next..?

Curacao as a challenge

It was not difficult to say yes to a third team...to see if I could do better than the Uganda team had done...but then something happened..

Arawak Warriors (2062683)

Curacao has more users than Uganda, so it would be more difficult to reach the Super League... That was all I knew. Flag hunting got more and more easy, except that the total home/away went up to a staggering 290 flags in total per team.

Having collected 110 of them now, I am expecting to wait 15 more seasons to complete the collection, meaning I will finish when I have been playing this amazing game for 20 years, around March 2026.

The most difficult flags first of course...then the easy way to safety.

Being a U-17 scout for Denmark means that I come across some amazing young players often...and one day in my filter...a young player from Curacao popped up: Jean Corsen (460675826)

I had to make a decision quickly. I was number 1 in my div.II at the same time, but would have to sell most the team to get this diamond... or let him go and try my luck in the Super League.

I chose the diamond.

Splashing 60 million Guilder on two 17 yo wingers made many shake their heads, and I know the money will never come back, but hopefully they will be the best ever wingers for Curacao...and to make sure they take it serious, the club have hired a future legend as trainer: Charles "Lucky" Luciano (417644943)

I doubt they will get in trouble knowing who to answer to the next 15 seasons..
