Suriname national teams update

After a succesfull term under manager Luckeh who is/has been doing a lot of work regarding the Surinam NT , we finally had a Surinamese manager again (StanMarsh1) taking charge of our NT, with Luckeh as his assistent manager this time. Hereby an update about both of our national teams.

Stanmarsh is known for having won the Suriname hoofdklasse as well as the Suricup, and now instantly has the honour of being the first Surinam national coach to enter the inaugural official America's Cup.

Having all odds against himself, out of all the teams in north- , middle- and south America, he did an excellent job after not only qualifying for the world cup , but even reaching the semi finals in the America's Cup.

After this bumpy ride, Suriname has its first (unofficial) bronze medal in the America's cup and obtained bragging rights for calling ourselves the best country in South America for this and coming season.

And besides that great result: manager Akragas, who has been leading our U20 team , also had some success in the new setup, becoming first in the poule and thereby qualifying for the world cup , to unfortunately losing the quarter finals against the later winner Colombia of the America's cup.

It has definitely been a good time for Suriname...

Personally I think the new implementations has been a great addition for all NT/U20's. And it is alway nice to see a relatively small HT country as Suriname performing above expectations. Hopefully it will happen more often in the future.

If anyone would like to help Suriname NT/U20 to achieve that (by training players, recruiting Suriname youth players or scouting, feel free to contact anyone of the staff or on the national forum). I'd like to wish good luck to Stanmarsh in the coming World cup and try keep this momentum.
