A decision that made a world of difference

A journey into decision making and a dilemma about starting over in a new country after you move.

Good day to you gentle team owner, and welcome to world of self journey, a big “life” dilemma, and a start of new chapter.
I found out about Hattrick in 2007, reading a discussion about it in a forum website, discussing British TV programmes, and decided to give it a go.
Would I do the same thing today, probably not, my concentration is not the same and my will to try new things has diminished, can’t teach old dog new tricks, they say, but, those were different times and I was younger.
Remember the days when you, as a user, could have only one team, and it had to originate from the country you reside in, well, I started the team in Israel, and like a lot of users, took my time to find my place, understand the game, made silly mistakes and believe that passable skilled players would get you to where you want to be.
It took me quite some time to find out what is my main enjoyment in the game was, and believe it or not, it was the chase of those elusive flags.
Now, try and imagine a world where there is only one team per user, smaller countries had a handful of users, most of them inactive, and maybe one or two wasn’t used y a trader, I found it so hard to challenge so many teams from rare countries and be disappointed most of the time, but I was proud of the flag collection I had of countries coming to my humble stadium.
I barely made it to league IV, I think, but I was playing for the flags.
I was married to a Welsh girl, who I met on the same TV forum site, and we got married and lived in Israel due to my job, and I decided to buy one Welsh player to have in my team, solid LS to make as a coach.
A few months later I got an HTMail from the Cymru NT coach saying that player would be part of the NT squad for a legends match, he didn’t play, but I was proud of that moment as well. In that HTMail, that manager invited me to the Cymru forums, which was when I started really to get involved in the forum side of Hattrick, and thus finding my new favourite thing about being a Hattrick user, the community.
We moved to Cymru mid 2010, and I kept my Israeli team, finished my home flag collection and starting to work on the away side when we were expecting our first born.
Here is when the dilemma presented itself. Do I take this opportunity to close my Israeli team and open a new one in Cymru, or stay as things were?
I decided to start over, I was gutted I couldn’t keep the flag collection I worked so hard to get to the point it was in.
5 days after Dylan, our first born arrived I opened a Cymru team, and started over with the flag fetish.
Sure, it became easier, smaller countries had more teams due to the 2nd team option in a country that is not yours, and then a 3rd team, sure it was easier to get an “accepted” when you challenge from a smaller country, as your flag is a bit more rare, and sure enough, after a few years, even with Hattrick adding more countries, I have a full collection, which I am pride to share.
But, from time to time I go back to that moment of decision making, close the Israeli team and move to Cymru, or stay.
Complete the flag collection I had with the original one or start over from scratch.

What would you have done my gentle user, would you continue, or would you start over?
The dilemma…
