Al Iraq - The Past - The Present - The Future

Al Iraq - a wonderful country laid in Mesopotamia between Euphrat and Tigris - is world wide known as "the cradle of civilisation".

In Hattrick Al Iraq is known for it´s very experienced local and foreign managers, who build up together not only a strong and successful community but also strong and ambitious National Teams. This small HT-country won the World Cup Silver Medal on 18th of November 2018 which was praised as "possibly the best participation ever, of a National Team, in history of World Cups in Hattrick" afterwards.

Do YOU want to be part of this awesome developement and this friendly community, please feel free and join us with your 2nd/3rd team in Al Iraq. Everybody, who wants to be part of this, is more than welcome.

The Past

The year 2168 arrived. A small boy and his grandpa sitting in front of a cozy campfire at the National Museum of Football in Erbil. Tales about legendary players, managers, matches and national team coaches were told.

Boy:"Grandpa, what was your happiest moment in your football life?" Grandpa with a trembling voice:"Oh, boy. this was clearly the 18th November of 2018. Nearly 50 years ago the National Team of Iraq won the Silver Medal at the World Cup in Latvija. I will never forget watching the World Cup Final against Romania live on Al Iraq Television in my living room with a cup of tea. This Final was closely lost after exciting 120 minutes with 1 - 2 (-> (632970730)). Afterwards we celebrated this Silver Medal for 72 hours at the wonderful Castles Fountains and Gardens of Erbil."

"Grandson, come with me and walk through the National Museum of Football History! Have a look on the right side: There you can find the statues of the legendary managers, who left their footprints here because of their great successes: Akkad, BigKurd (now known as Kurda10), Kurdboy and of course our Silver Medal hero Fieldy84. Please have a look on the left side: There you can watch the replay of the World Cup Final on a computer screen. And you can touch the green, red, white striped shirt our coach Fieldy was wearing at the World Cup Final.

And here you can see the statues of our most famous players: Unforgettable Malik Darwish, the golden glove, the best goalkeeper we ever had in Al Iraq. He still owns the record of playing 167 NT matches in his great career. Or Chadi Sader - 119 NT matches - known as Iron Head. He was one of our most famous defenders. Our No. 10 forever is Wassim Beydoun (84 NT matches). He was one of the first playmakers, who had to play on the not common position defensive forward scoring a lot of goals with his incredible [head]. We will never forget our NT Forward Moosa Mahdi (67 NT matches), who scored so many important goals. Last but not least Lawandu Bartellanaya, who scored the equalizer in the World Cup Final against Romania."

Tears ran down Grandpas cheeks. "So many legends, so many successes".

The Present:

Actually Al Iraq has got a very nice, excellent cooperating and polite community. For example there are very well known and successful managers like joe_laurentiu, spiroe, homergoku, regia5, DJmichel, HenningO, Mr. Clean, Monco-Ultras, mygenfordt, redeyesimon, magicoalverman, hayanni and rdinis77 to name only a few great managers out of a huge number not being named. The National Team these days is lead by the very experienced and highly motivated Romanian manager ElShau, the U21 team is in the excellent hands of the German manager Alcoaman.

In the Continental Cup ElShau and his team (consisting out of local, romanian and german managers) made it to the top of Group E qualifying for the 2nd time in Al Iraqs history for the World Cup. The U21 team is ranked on #21 out of 48 teams in the current competition.

The Future:

Both teams - NT and U21 team - are put together with very young and ambitious players, so also the future should belong to our NT and U21 team. The National Teams of Al Iraq benefit from very strong player trainer/owner <-> NT staff structures, which were built up over more than ten of years prooving the reliability from both sides again and again.

With Migna some seasons ago a very motivated and active italian manager joined the team overtaking the Youth Academy analysis preparing/putting together the future generations 34 and 35 in an awesome way.

Cutting a long story short:

Legendary successes in the past, a huge success in the present (qualifying for the World Cup) and a bright looking future (very young NT teams and a very professional Youth Academy work) ... that´s HT Al Iraq. The mighty lion is roaring again.

You can be part of this development by joining this beautiful country with your 2nd/3rd team. Al Iraq would be proud and happy to welcome you with your team soon.

Welcome in "the cradle of civilisation", welcome in the cradle of football.
