The Pursuit of Happyness

What is happiness? From the dictionary it is the "State of mind of one who is serene, not troubled by pain or worries and enjoys this state of his own".
Reaching the goal without anyone telling you that it is impossible, is the real goal!

A little less than two years ago, when most people had never heard words like "pandemic" or "asymptomatic" in their lives, I returned to be part of the world of Hattrick and after practically 7 years of absence.

The baggage I carried with me was the "unattainable" memory of leading a national team: at the time I could not win the elections at Trindad & Tobago and once I returned I decided that I would become a coach and I would study from the best to do so. .

The beginnings

I immediately started to brush up on my knowledge and immediately I started working as a scout in Ireland u20 of my first "ferryman" Gave_(9718120). Here the spark struck me: Gave_ was literally overwhelmed by the compliments for that medal he won and, although I realized that I was not comparable to him at least at that moment, I felt a sort of envy towards him and I decided that he was. time to seriously try somewhere.
My happiness on hattrick could range from successes with a National Team and I would have liked to start with a u20.

A wonderful discovery

I was not very put off by the lack of experience and sent a dozen htmails to u20 coaches to try to join some other staff and ran into kepica (11767525), your old u20 manager.
We exchanged htmails and I asked to access the portal before the elections began, so I could see the players and get an idea: I had found a wonderful place to look for happiness even if, at that moment, I was not full awareness of what was about to happen.

The first experience

I immediately had the idea that here I would not have the support of kepica, even if I had sponsored almost everywhere, to get a few more votes and, to my great surprise, on Monday morning with 1 vote I became for the first time "Coach U20 Mongol Uls".
Huge satisfaction and little time to fill huge gaps in both experience and skills.
In a rather difficult group we managed to bring home 11 points in the first 7 days, a result that gave us hope for the future and a miraculous qualification. We closed the qualifiers with 12 points after having sentenced to last place in our group only 1 point in the last 7 games.
But the goal was now clear to me and no one could say we couldn't do it.
4 months of friendlies with much clearer ideas this time and the awareness that the team we had followed could be really interesting.

The consecration

After having won again the elections with 2 votes out of three total, we start the qualifications with a defeat(662630888) , but immediately after we obtained 7 consecutive useful results that allowed us to score 17 points and take us to the top of the standings. With 3 rounds to go we are first with 6 points from 2nd and 3rd (Moldova and Belarus which we will face at the end) and 7 points from Azerbaycan and Malta who will both have to face a bot.
Unfortunately, some wrong choices and the lack of luck saw us equalize the last day with Belarus (662630940) and finish third, then eliminated (/World/WorldCup/?cupId=149&season=75&matchround=1&cupSeriesUnitId=1651).

Because I'm Happy...
But where is happiness here?
It is obvious that this result at the beginning of the world qualifiers was very positive, but at that point, when we were literally one step away, I sound like a joke, also aware that such a group and a squad like this we would never have it anymore.
But then you look around and see what, with all the errors of the case, you have built, of the team that follows you having blind faith in you, of owners who also make sacrifices with their club to satisfy your request and, not for lastly, you see other NT coaches complimenting you and inviting you to apply in their country and that fills me with pride.
This is happiness, the awareness that a great journey has started from nothing, starting from a whim of mid-October 2019, listening on the radio to other coach who are passionate about National Teams like me who comment on the matches of the nations every Friday and sometimes even the Monday.

Happiness is raising your U20 player who makes his debut in the national team, feeling him as your creation and his call-up fills you with pride, even if you are forced to leave aside the interests of your club.

As for my happiness it began when I crossed my Hattrickian destiny with that of Ghengis Khan's homeland and with this enthusiasm we will face together the next world cup, the first u21 in the history of hattrick, with passion and joy, but also with clarity and determination because no one can ever tell us what we cannot do.

Together we will be historic!
The new world cup awaits us, expect strong emotions.
