New comers to the Series, Timberlots FC took to the field, hosting neighboring Saxony United. TimPrice's lads proved to their home crowd that the future is bright. Timberlot's opened the scoring when Danny Treister put one away in the 11th minute. Saxony captain, Thorne answered in the 23rd tying the score before the half.
The second 45 became a goal fest. Shortly after the whistle Jae Arnold put Timberlot's back in the lead. A couple of substitutions from United boosted morale, leading to an equalizer from winger Mason. Timberlot's pressed again, resulting in a stunning shot from Eddie Watkins that put the home team ahead.
It was looking like a debut victory was at hand, until Charlie Wenamba caught a pass from the right to bring United level yet again.
In the final minute, Saxony clenched victory as 17 year old Te Whetu found a gap in the Timberlot defense and stole the match.
Saxony's Benghis praised the Timberlot team for a great game, "I look forward to the next clash".
