1-1-2024 Grumble’s gone!

After a club record 443 games, Grant “Grumble” Gumble has today decided to hang up the boots. Grumble as he’s affectionately known by all associated with club will call time on his playing career after Sundays game, his 444th. He joined the club as a 15 yr old after being scouted by Vipul Timu who noted his playmaking ability. Timu, now retired, said, “ even at that age you could see he was going to make it, he just had so much time on the ball and set up goal after goal for his teammates putting them into space in scoring positions”. Grumble never caught the eye of national team selectors but as fellow midfielders, and Oceanian representative’s “bobdog” McDougall and “Chucky” Chasapoglou attested “ He showed us what was required and the skill levels and commitment required to get there. The selectors mightn’t have noticed him but the crowd here sure did…we’re quick to call people legends but Grumble is the one legend’s are defined by! “ Farewell to a mighty servant of the club
