Despite relegating from the I-League at the end of last season, fans of Karak of the West were in high spirits following the side's 2-0 win over Csontritkulás in the league. (705226842)

New signing Saleh Abolhassan Jaghbeer (431002846) - back with the team after playing for Al Urdun in World Cup qualifying on Friday - opened the scoring and it was homegrown legend Jorge Serafim Nunes (431037645) - himself returning from a World Cup match in Madagascar - that confirmed the win with his 26th minute strike.

There was a great deal of trepidation prior to the match due to the team's first-choice keeper, Ziaul Pasha (434665912), picking up a four-week injury in the last friendly match before the start of the new season. Rather than rush to bring in a replacement, the team placed their faith in understudy Nicola Martinez (459152382) and the 23 year old did not disappoint in his II.2 debut!
